Home Extension
Nestled within a serene estuary landscape in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), this sensitive extension project brings new life to a waterside home. The brief was clear: preserve the building’s character while introducing modern functionality and a stronger connection to it’s natural setting.

Sensitive and Sustainable Home Extension
The extension is conceived as a quiet continuation of the original home — in proportion and materials.
By maximising natural light and opening up to the stunning estuary views, the internal spaces now feel calm, generous and brings the beautiful landscape in.
The project represents how modern extensions can blend with traditional architecture, creating continuity rather than contrast. Sustainability and environmental sensitivity were central to every design decision, from materials to footprint and landscape design.

Key Features
Seamless architectural extension in an AONB
Enhanced spatial quality and visual connectivity with the estuary
Sensitive use of traditional materials and detailing
Respectful transformation for modern living
