Design Concept
The design integrates existing stonework, preserving the historical fabric of the site, with Corten steel elements that introduce a modern, industrial aesthetic. Corten steel’s weathered appearance not only complements the stone but also adds a dynamic texture that evolves over time, reflecting the passage of seasons and enhancing the building’s connection to its environment.
Contextual Sensitivity
Situated within a conservation area, this project adheres to stringent planning guidelines that protect the area’s architectural and historic significance.
