The Art of Building Ltd is an East Midlands based practice with a varied portfolio
that spans the country. We’re dynamic and fast paced, with a positive outlook and
collaborative approach to working with our clients and the wider design team. Our
creative team is expanding due to some fantastic upcoming projects and we’re
looking for an experienced land & measured building surveyor to join us.
Who we’re looking for:

A talented, enthusiastic individual who has experience in all types of topological and
measured building survey work, who is able to work as part of a team or
independently with confidence and a willingness to learn and progress within the
team.

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience of topological and measured building surveying
and drawing up surveys.
• Full UK driving licence (ESSENTIAL) as you will be expected to travel locally and
across the country.
• Capable of working to a high level of detail and accuracy in a fast paced
environment
• Good competence in AutoCAD, survey and laser scanning software
• Knowledge of Total Stations is advantageous
• High quality and discipline with all surveying, data output and drawing
• Experience of 3D laser scanning
• Good problem solving, self-management and people skills
• Good enthusiasm and a ‘can-do’ attitude

What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting detailed land and measured building surveys
using laser scanners and other equipment.
• Producing 2D and 3D outputs such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and roof
plans.
